Foreman tilted his head skeptically, scoffing at House's wide-eyed protestations. He knew the man held grudges. He hadn't forgotten House dosing himself with nitro in order to provoke a migraine, just to disprove a study conducted by a guy he'd hated in med school. After all, Foreman had been the one making sure House didn't stroke out afterward. That hadn't been faked. He'd never seen anybody in so much pain act so self-satisfied. It had been almost...appealing. At least, as appealing as House could get, which usually meant drugged to the gills and focused on humiliating someone else for a change. Which was, maybe, part of the reason he was back. He could hate House's methods and still respect him. House would put himself through hell just for principle--even if it was a stupid principle.

He was about to say so--even if it would mean giving House a backhanded compliment--when one of the fellows burst in the door. Foreman realized in annoyance that he didn't know her name, because House was still calling everyone by their numbers. He'd have to get their files somehow and do some research of his own, find out what their strengths were, because he sure as hell didn't trust House to select the most competent doctors. He'd probably pick this one just because she was blonde.

"The patient's crashing," she said. "Started seizing twenty minutes ago, while some of us were at the dry-cleaner's."
